Trinity Presbyterian Church, a vibrant, joyful and healthy congregation in beautiful San Carlos, CA, halfway between San Francisco and San Jose, is looking for our next Director of Music Ministries. She or he will love and be passionate about both contemporary praise and traditional Christian music and excited to bring the joy and beauty of both to our congregation. We currently have 1 worship service at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings and it is blended, leaning toward more contemporary half the weeks and more traditional half.
This person will direct and lead our musicians by planning, coordinating, providing harmonies and directing our rehearsals. The ideal person will also play keyboards, piano and/or guitar but we have other musicians in place, including an organist. At this point we have a 1 hour Sunday morning rehearsal, a 60 to 90 minute Thursday night rehearsal. This position will involve the direction of other periodic music ensembles as well (bells, adult and kids’ choirs and youth ensembles.) This is a part-time position (15-25 hours a week depending on availability and program growth) and will pay between $35-45/ hour, depending on experience. Some benefits may be available.
